Come to Bear Roots Forest to spend the day surrounded by the magic of nature!
In the morning, Tatum from Bear Roots, will begin the day with a herb walk that will focus on wild plants that are growing all around us. She will also take you into the teaching gardens to teach you about plants that you can grow in your gardens. Plants that you can expect to meet and learn about during the walk include St. John’s Wort, Red Clover, Nettle, Calendula, Valerian, Motherwort, Hyssop, Hawthorn, Burdock, Yellow Dock, Plantain, and many more!
After the herb walk, you will enjoy a farm-to-table lunch prepared by Bear Roots Kitchen.
In the afternoon, Sarah from Mystic Moons, will discuss local magical trees, plants, and flowers for all magical workings like protection, purification, divination, love, prosperity and much more. She will chat about local lore, how to connect to the local land and spirits as well as how to identify these various plants, trees and flowers, and where they may be found. She will then teach you how and when to harvest, look at techniques in drying and storing and how to tie it into the phases of the Moon and magical days of the week. You will also learn some of the appropriate offerings to give in thanks to what it is you take.
